The History of La Foresta Restaurant
Alessandro Ferri, founder of La Foresta Restaurant, began from a very young age his career as an entrepreneur in the agribusiness field moving both in the territory of Rocca di Papa Municipality and in the neighboring areas.
During his working days he used to linger in the woods where the Restaurant now stands for a snack and a restorative break in the coolness coming from the sea that right here creeps down the mountainside.
A magical place also because of the historical relevance since Latin civilization and the vitality of nature made lush by the presence of natural Springs such as “Fontan Tempesta.”
It was here that Alessandro Ferri found inspiration to open his restaurant, which he called “La Foresta.”
In June 1966 he inaugurated the first room of the restaurant built by him with great effort and passion, with the goal of creating a landmark in catering for local and international visitors.
Over the years the help of his wife Maria and his children, who still run the business today, was invaluable. Antonella and Gino Ferri inherited a place of traditional character, turning it into a refined Restaurant as well as an exclusive Location for events through several renovations that improved the architecture and embellished the interiors.
“La Foresta” has now spanned two centuries of history and is ready to face the challenges of the third millennium thanks to the Ferri family, now in its third generation.
